5-Day Hunza Itinerary Under PKR 25,000

Hunza on a budget is absolutely doable — several group operators run 5-day trips in the PKR 22,000–25,000 band. Here is what that money actually buys, day by day.

The itinerary

Day 1 — The long road north. Depart Islamabad late evening or early morning. Besham for breakfast, lunch near Chilas, and the first proper view of Nanga Parbat from the viewpoint. Overnight near Chilas or push to Hunza depending on the operator.

Day 2 — Arrival in Hunza. Rakaposhi viewpoint stop, then Karimabad by afternoon. Walk the bazaar, watch the light change on Ultar Peak.

Day 3 — The forts and the Nest. Baltit Fort and Altit Fort in the morning (entry tickets are on you, roughly PKR 1,000 each), Duikar / Eagle's Nest for sunset. This is the day the photos come from.

Day 4 — Attabad and the upper valley. Attabad Lake, Hussaini suspension bridge, Passu Cones. Some operators add Khunjerab Pass here for an extra PKR 3,000–4,000 — worth it if the pass is open.

Day 5 — Return. Long drive back. You will be tired and you will not care.
